Embracing the Journey of Rewiring Your Brain

We’ve all been there, learning something new. We've all been challenged with learning a new skill for our job, school, or whatever the case may be. And it feels so… AWKWARD at first!

Think back to when you learned how to tie your shoes. Your fingers didn’t want to do what your brain was telling them.

Or learning to ride your bike! Your brain was helping you balance on your bike and remember to brake and when, for example.

And it was so hard to do it all at the same time, and you would fall over.

But, in time, it became second nature, and you didn’t have to think about it anymore… you just rewired your brain and rode your bike.

Well, starting a training program is no different. In the beginning, it may feel really hard… weighty.

Like, you don’t have the time and energy to go through with it! But little by little, by not giving up, it will become easier to manage….

And then one day, you will be counting down the minutes until you can finally do your workout!

You have successfully rewired your brain so that working out has now become a priority in your day and something you look forward to accomplishing!

Putting one foot in front of the other, doing it imperfectly but continuing to try, are the tools we use to rewire our brains and make something a habit.

They may not feel like tools at the time, but they are. Remembering how empowered and strong you feel after a workout is critical in consistency. Sticking to it long enough to feel changes in your strength and power, focus, agility, and inner strength are powerful and will keep you consistent!
